Participating in Tampa Bay HEAT’s fall cross country season is convenient for families with kids of all grade levels, 3rd thru 12th grade. (We have another running season in Jan that will include k-2nd grade) All High school, middle school and elementary practices are scheduled at the same time and in the same place.

There are no tryouts for cross country, however if you have a high schooler that is interested in running cross country in the fall, please reach out to me during the summer, Coach Laura, 813-625-1417 for some summer running workouts.

2023 Fall High School Cross Country

Season: Fall

Starts: HS Monday, July 31st, 2023 Ends: Nov 4th, 2023

Weekly Practice Schedule:

Time: 7am to 8:30am
Mon, Wed at Sterns Park,
Tues, Thurs at Sydney Dover Horse Trails

Practice Locations:

HS Cross Country Meet Schedule:

All races are 5k. High School athletes must compete in min of 5 cross country meets.

There is mandatory FHSAA paperwork that must be completed to participate in high school-level sports. This must be completed and submitted before the first practice.

FHSAA Paperwork Assistance at the Homeschool Resource Center located a 307 S. Parsons Ave. in Brandon, 33511.

June 29th from 10am-Noon

July 20th from 10am-Noon

July 24th from 6-8pm

The deadline for paperwork is July 28th. Practices/tryouts are allowed to begin on July 31st.

Middle School and Elementary Cross Country

MS 6th thru 8th grade, Elementary 3rd thru 5th grade

Starts: Middle School Monday, Aug 7th, 2023 Ends: Oct 28th, 2023
