To participate in HEAT classes, field trips, clubs, athletics, and many of our events, families must be registered HEAT members. Membership is $170 per family (not per student) and runs June 1 – May 31, and families may join at any time during the year.
Membership provides access to a wide variety of opportunities including group field trips, family events, clubs, athletics, and discounted classes at the Homeschool Resource Center (HRC) located at 1720 S. St. Cloud Ave., Valrico, FL 33594. HEAT families also enjoy free or reduced-cost community events, opportunities to build lasting friendships, and a supportive homeschool network.
Beginning with the 2026–2027 membership season, we are introducing our new HEAT BUCKS program. Families who are able to volunteer can choose from a variety of opportunities throughout the year based on their schedule and interests. After completing a volunteer task, families will receive HEAT BUCKS coupon codes that can be used toward HEAT events, merchandise, classes, and more.
Tampa Bay HEAT is also a recognized FPEA support group, allowing our families to join the Florida Parent-Educators Association (FPEA) at a reduced rate and access additional homeschool resources and benefits.
